Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection

Continuing Professional Development

It is a requirement for those who have successfully completed the Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection Programme to keep their PC.dp. qualification up to date (‘Continuing Professional Development’).

Qualified practitioners are required to attend at least one qualifying course or qualifying event each year from the first anniversary of their qualification date. The current list of qualifying courses/events are the following:

• Role of the Data Protection Officer*

 * available on an 'on-demand' eLearning basis

Although reminders will be sent to qualified candidates as regards their Continuing Professional Development obligations, it is the responsibility of the candidate to undertake the relevant training in order to maintain their qualification.
